Inpatient Behavioral Healthcare For Seniors
Our Seniors Inpatient Program follows a structured day similar to our Adult Inpatient Program. To address their different needs, we give our seniors more time between group sessions, reeducate them about healthy living skills, and host meals in their community room. As with all of our programs, we create a discharge plan from the beginning of treatment.
Most of the patients that enter our senior services program are diagnosed with depression, anxiety or other psychiatric disorders. Due to their age and the complex nature of these cases, our professionals often recommend family collaboration to encourage recovery, as well as a patient’s comfort level while at our facility.
We provide age-specific senior services programming:
- Relaxation and healthy living groups
- Enhanced coping skills to better manage anxiety
- Stress reduction
- Nutrition education
Our senior inpatient program also includes:
- Goal development
- Arts and crafts
- Games
- Group therapy and family collaboration sessions
We have a unit specially equipped for our seniors. Helping create a safe and comfortable atmosphere, there are larger rooms and bathrooms with wheelchair access, call buttons, handrails and optional hospital beds.
