Old Vineyard’s Adult Program is an acute inpatient psychotherapy program designed for adults — ages 18 and over — that are at risk of harm to themselves or others. Often these individuals require crisis intervention, stabilization or detoxification, and are unable to function in a less restrictive setting. At our facility patient safety is a priority, and our staff is trained to follow specific procedures to ensure a safe environment is provided for all patients. While under our care, we will identify problems and explore solutions side-by-side with our patients using client-centered therapy, dual diagnosis, if needed, and medication treatment.
Our integrated mental health program is designed to effectively treat a wide range of psychiatric and behavioral issues that many adults face. Individualized treatment plans take into account each patient’s medical and behavioral history and other information from the initial assessments conducted by our team of dedicated psychiatrists. Staff members from a number of disciplines work together in order to ensure the success of each patient’s individualized treatment plan. Each plan can also be modified as the patient goes through our program to ensure they are on track for full recovery.
Old Vineyard’s Adult Program adopts a holistic approach encompassing a wide variety of treatment methods in order to better serve patient needs and achieve more positive outcomes overall. These treatment methods can include:
- Group therapy
- Person-centered care
- Various cognitive and behavioral skill building groups
- Recreational therapy
- Psycho-educational groups
- Pharmacology and medications
Person-Centered Care and A Holistic Approach
The compassionate staff at Old Vineyard work to make each patient’s treatment program unique to them. We do not believe in a one-size-fits-all mental health treatment program. Our therapy team will assess an individual’s needs, and design a plan specifically to meet those needs.
At Old Vineyard, we fully understand how critical the treatment process is. For this reason, referral sources are kept informed of the patient’s progress throughout the treatment process, from admission to discharge. Old Vineyard works with the referring physician to coordinate after-care and, in the absence of a professional contact, every effort is made to obtain support services within the community for patients so that they can continue with the coping skills they learn from us after they leave our facility. We make every effort to equip each patient with the tools and support needed for them to go on and lead a successful and healthy life.
